Welcome to De Schakel, a public primary school in the Jutphaas-Wijkersloot district! De Schakel is a school where optimal education is provided to all children aged 4 to 13.
The teachers of group 1 and 2 ensure a cheerful atmosphere and a positive social environment in which children feel safe. Regardless of their native language, they come to play and explore.
English speaking, reading and writing is taught from group 1 to prepare the children optimally for the subject of English in secondary education.
We encourage parental involvement as much as possible by giving at home activities that are in line with the subject matters taught in the classroom.

We will schedule a settling-in timetable where your child can visit school either in the morning or afternoon to get comfortable and familiarize themselves with their new class and school environment.
